National Mentoring Month feels like the perfect moment to say thank you to Ted Fleming: a fellow Dartmouth alum, neighbor, and one of those rare humans who shows up again and again, often quietly behind the scenes, brilliantly and generously.
Ted has mentored me (and my husband Paul Diego Holzer) through many pivotal moments:
⇒ from helping us find the right people to navigate the microburst that damaged our home
⇒ to offering smart, steady guidance as I launched Aha2Impact
⇒ to making meaningful introductions and recommending me for opportunities
⇒ and, most importantly, reminding me what grounded, values-driven leadership looks like.
His book, Develop, reflects exactly who he is: thoughtful, practical, deeply human, and rooted in the belief that growth happens best through and within our relationships. I have recommended his book and website (which has a ton of great tools in it) to many I coach and mentor, especially those who are in transition or looking to move into their next phase of professional stretch and growth.
Ted, thank you for your wisdom, your generosity, and the way you mentor with head, heart and integrity. I’m profoundly grateful.
